Want to spend a few days in a different location? Here are some experiences to be had in Lazio, a short distance from Rome. We also report one outside the region, because in our opinion it is very unique.
Isola Verde Camping Village – Neptune
Would you like to sleep in a tree house by the sea? Within the Isola Verde Camping Village you can stay in the Tree House. A modern Glamping tent with all amenities: air conditioning, patio with sitting area, living room with dining area, kitchen, double bedroom, another room with bunk bed, single bed and bathroom. The accommodation can accommodate up to 5 people.
In the campsite you will find entertainment, a swimming pool, a sports field, the area dogs, a playground and marked trails. The Tree House costs about 170 euros per night.
Where: Via Selciatella, 3, Nettuno.
Stars Box – Appia Antica
In the most large urban park of Europe you can sleep in a wooden cottage inspired by the bedding of nomadic shepherds. If you like to admire the starry sky, the roof can be fully opened. The experience includes linens, towels, lounge chairs, outdoor table, and a bathroom with shower and hot water nearby. The price for overnight stay only is 130 euros.
Tree house in the lavender field
On the La Piantata farm in Arlena di Castro, there are two tree houses overlooking the lavender field. We are talking about the Suite Bleue, suspended 8 meters above the ground and built on a centuries-old oak tree, and the Black Cabin (Europe’s largest tree house). Sleeping one night in this 87-square-meter eco-loft can cost more than 400 euros (breakfast is included).
Where: Arlenese Provincial Road 113, 01010.
Japaroom – Anguillara Sabazia
Only 40 km from Rome you can sleep in the “Japanese room.” We are talking about a house that celebrates Japan. The wooden constructions were made by the owner who, after many trips to the East, drew on his experiences and created the japaroom. A hot tub in the center of the room, a wooden table with a large bonsai tree, and the flag of Japan in the bedroom. La japaroom can be booked on Airbnb at 190 euros per night.
Orlando in Chianti glamping resort – Cavriglia
About a three-hour drive from Rome, in the hills of Chianti, you can stay at this particular Tuscan resort. Here you can sleep in a caravan that resembles a spaceship, an American school bus, or a historic caravan. At the resort you will find entertainment, swimming pools and the lagoon with water features. A 3-night stay in the school bus (1 double bed + 2 single beds, kitchenette and bathroom) costs about 800 euros.
