What to do with your little ones in the city to experience fun times together? Rome, given its size, allows for so many things to be done with children. There are classic parks with a children’s area, libraries for toddlers, toy stores to visit, and many other things. That’s why we have made a selection of the cutest activities to do together with your daughter or son. Which one do you choose?
Children’s House Library
In the Cinecittà East neighborhood we find this library for children and adolescents opened in 2002 and renovated in 2022. The environment is large, as many as 290 square meters, and contains about 16,000 documents inside. The nice thing about the Children’s House is that you will find an area aimed at parents, teachers, and students in the childcare sector. One room then holds workshops or art activities for children and parents. Meetings dedicated to the Born to Read Program or aimed at pregnant women and new parents are hosted in the library on a regular basis.
It is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is located at 153 Libero Leonardi Street.
Children’s Cinema
After its summer closure, the special children’s cinema, considered the smallest in the world. Cartoons and art films are broadcast in this Villa Borghese park facility. An experience to try with little ones.

The bunnies in the Caffarella Park
Caffarella Park allows families to experience days in nature, you can ride a bike, have a picnic (then remember not to leave papers and trash) or see the bunnies. In fact, in one area of the valley, on the side of Via Latina, you can see rabbits hopping through the grass.
Visiting the Lego exhibition
If your kids have a passion for Legos, then you can visit the brick exhibition at Leonardo Mall. This is the largest Lego exhibition in Europe: more than 2,000 square meters of space and 100 models. You will find special constructions also dedicated to Rome.

Luneur Park
The Brucomela, Jumbo, the Ferris Wheel and more. Italy’s oldest amusement park (created in 1953) still allows young and old to experience happy and fun times. It is open Thursday through Monday; Saturdays and Sundays also open in the morning from 10 a.m.

Ice cream at the Cold Palace
Ice cream sandwiches, parfaits, black truffles and many flavors of ice cream… In the Palazzo del Freddo at the Esquiline you can enjoy original recipes from founder Giovanni Fassi. Ice creams are made fresh daily from the laboratory. This ice cream shop falls under the ranking of the world’s most mythical dessert places.

Vigamus – the museum of video games
Vigamus is the first interactive videogames museum in Italy and in Rome. It allows you to discover the history of video games… You will find interactive arenas with mythical games, such as Metal Slug, an area where you can try virtual reality, a book shop, and collections of unique pieces. Full ticket costs 8 euros, reduced 5 euros. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm. It is located in the XV Della Vittoria neighborhood at 4 Sabotino Street.
