As the warm weather arrives, it really feels like diving into the water. If you don’t feel like going a long way to the sea, there are many outdoor swimming pools in the city where you can relax.
What are the nicest summer pools to go to in the city? Here are our selections for a cool weekend.
Cavalieri Grand Spa Club – North Rome
In the Balduina area is the elegant Hotel Cavalieri. The outdoor pool, spa, and gym are open to both hotel guests and Rome residents. The location is truly unique with a wonderful view of the capital city.
Daily admission for adults, Monday through Friday, costs €80, weekend €150 (price includes towel, sunbed and umbrella). A destination to keep in mind even when celebrating a special occasion. Generally, reservations do not have to be made.

Pool of Roses Eur
This summer pool is part of the EUR Rowing Club. The Rose Pool, in the business district of South Rome, was built in the 1960s for the Olympic Games. It is a 50-meter swimming facility open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. From Monday to Friday, adult admission costs €10, on weekends €20. The price also includes a sunbed or deck chair; the umbrella costs €8 on Saturdays and Sundays. No reservations need to be made.

Arca Piscine – Roma Sud
In the Tuscolano neighborhood we find the large Circolo Arca: padel courts, soccer, skating, pinsery, and outdoor swimming pools. The facility is surrounded by greenery with umbrellas, sunbeds and tree-lined areas. There is also a kiosk equipped for eating something. The two swimming pools for adults and children are open from 9:30 am to 7 pm. Adult admission for the entire day costs €14 Monday through Friday; €17 Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

Aquaniene – North Rome
In the Parioli neighborhood, the Aquaniene Sports Club’s Olympic summer pool has reopened. Hours are: Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Sundays and holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Daily midweek admission costs €10, weekend admission €15.

Appio Claudio Tennis Club – Roma Sud
In the beautiful Tennis Club nestled in the Aqueduct Park reopened the summer pool. The rate depends on the time slot, from €7 and up.

MagicSplash– Valmontone
This summer Romans will be able to go to the Caribbean without having to take a plane. At the Valmontone amusement park, they are building a 40,000-square-meter tropical island with lush vegetation, more than 16,000 tropical plants and palm trees, and 10,000 square meters of beach created with 5,000 tons of the finest white sand.
Cinepool– Cinecittà World
Italy’s first movie pool has reopened at Aqua World, Cinecittà World’s water park. This cinema-themed area of the amusement park in Rome has 5 attractions, including a large movie pool (the Cinepiscina) of 1,700 square meters. In the summer area there are sunbeds, umbrellas, and a large screen where they broadcast movies.
