Rome is a very romantic city, but there are some places that make you dream. Do you want to watch the city at sunset? Or see the thousands of little lights that illuminate the night? If the answer is yes, then you must visit these incredible places in the capital. Have you been there yet@?
Orange Garden – Ripa
We are just a short walk from the Circus Maximus and the spectacular Rome that draws so many tourists from all over the world every year. Tranquill@, I already know what you are thinking about. You don’t like touristy places. Okay, the Garden of Oranges certainly isn’t a place where you’ll be alone@. Not this one, but you won’t find the crowds that are at the Pincio either! We recommend visiting it at sunset, when the sky turns red and the view of Rome becomes romantic. Here you can also notice a special optical effect that leaves everyone speechless.
📍 Where: Pietro D’Illiria Square, 00153 Rome.
Via Niccolò Piccolomini – Aurelio
Near the Janiculum Hill, there is this particular street that makes the view “go crazy.” The farther you go from the terrace, the bigger St. Peter’s Dome looks. Here you can enjoy a unique view of all of Rome and the night becomes very romantic. Not surprisingly, it is chosen for wedding proposals and other special celebrations.
📍 Where: Via Nicolò Piccolomini, Rome.
The Fountain of the Lovers – Center
On the right side of the famous Trevi Fountain, there is a (lesser-known) rectangular basin that is called “The Lovers’ Fountain.” According to legend, if two lovers drink water from the fountain, they remain forever faithful and in love to each other. What was the custom? Roman girls before a trip would offer a new glass of water to their beloved, which would then be broken to ensure the faithfulness of those leaving.
📍 Where: Piazza di Trevi, 00187 Rome.
Aqueducts Park – Appius Claudius
The Aqueducts Park is part of the Appia Antica Regional Park and (as you might guess from the name) here you can see the remains of the aqueducts of Ancient Rome. At sunset the park is very romantic, we recommend you choose the bench near the pond. The peace in the park and the view of the beauty of Rome will make your date unforgettable.

The Pincio Hill – Center
One of the most famous places in Rome is the Pincio, the hill overlooking the Campo Marzio. At sunset, however, stop at the terrace to admire the unforgettable look of the capital. A souvenir photo is not to be missed!
