The Tuscolano district is Rome’s eighth neighborhood, and it takes its name from the Via Tuscolana. Located southeast of the city, close to the Aurelian Walls, it is bordered by the Parco della Caffarella, an important green area.
The neighborhood has a vibrant commercial life with many bars, restaurants, and stores. It is also well connected thanks to five Metro A stations. Tuscolano also includes the Quadraro, a historically significant area known for its resistance during World War II. In fact, it was awarded the Gold Medal of Civil Merit for the bravery of its inhabitants.
