It has reached its 72nd edition one of the most famous festivals in the Roman Castles that celebrates the porchetta. This food is known all over the world and during the event you will be able to trace its history. The porchetta of Ariccia since 2011 has obtained the recognition of protected geographical indication (at the European level). Once the priests of this area prepared pork for some religious people, later the meat processing was refined thanks to the presence of the Roman noble families who spent their summers in Ariccia.

The festival will begin on August 30, 2024 at 5 p.m. with the opening of the stands, and at 5:20 p.m. there will be flag-waving choirs through the streets of the town. At 6 p.m. the official opening with the city mayor. At 21 there will be partying in Republic Square with Mrs. Gilda and those good guys. The next day, on August 31, at 21 there will be Emanuela Aureli to entertain the audience.
Sunday, Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m. on Republic Square there will be the famous porchetta sandwich toss (3,000). At 9 p.m. the band 90-80 mania will take the stage and at midnight the fireworks show. Here is the poster with all the weekend’s activities.
