Rome is a wonderful city, and among the beautiful things the capital has to offer is its proximity to the sea. In a short time you can reach nice beaches to have lunch with the sound of the waves in the background. There is a wide range of offerings, but there are definitely some places not to be missed. Here are 5 seaside restaurants to try near Rome:
1. Alceste al Buon Gusto – Anzio
Anzio is a seaside resort an hour from Rome. The water is clear and the town center very lively. There are stores, beach bars and the famous Caves of Nero to explore. In addition to the remains of the Roman emperor’s villa, Anzio is also known for its seafood restaurants on the beach. Our favorite is Alceste. You can choose to eat outside, sea view, or inside (if it’s too hot in summer). Here you’ll find classic seafood starters, such as linguine with scampi, and fancier appetizers, such as cod and ginger tartare. Average price per person: 50 euros.
