The Mexican Halloween Village takes place at HUMO in Marino from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3. This event offers an immersive experience that combines elements of Anglo-Saxon tradition with Mexican culture. The village is decorated with pumpkins, hay bales and flower altars, creating a magical and colorful atmosphere.
Activities include performances by jugglers, acrobats, magicians and tightrope walkers, as well as concerts and DJ sets. Creative workshops are available for children and adults, such as pumpkin decorating, zombie makeup and calavera, and the Catrina Wreaths workshop. For younger children, there is a zen corner with puzzles and books, as well as sensory experiences with a corn box.
Touring performances by street performers alternate daily from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. The street food area offers a wide range of Italian and international dishes, including vegan and vegetarian options. Specialties include Abruzzo arrosticini, Marche ascolane olives, Puglia pucce, Mexican tacos and Iberian paella.
The village also hosts a Hippie Market with young designers and artisans displaying exclusive creations in sustainable fashion, jewelry, handbags and home decor items. Tarology and henna corner are also featured.
The music program includes concerts by Ukus in Fabula on Nov. 1 at 5 p.m., a rock’n’roll band on Nov. 2 at 5 p.m., and a Cartoon Party on Nov. 3 from 4 p.m. with Sonia Ceriola. The latter event includes a talk show in which Sonia will read letters from former grown-up children, accompanied by live music by the band Team Rock’et.
