The 32nd Porcini Mushroom Festival returns to enliven Colle di Fuori, a hamlet of Rocca Priora (RM), transforming the village into a hub of gastronomic and cultural excellence in the heart of the Castelli Romani Park. Spanning three weekends in September 2026 (from the 4th to the 6th, from the 11th to the 13th, and from the 18th to the 20th), the event is set to welcome over 50,000 visitors, cementing its status as one of the most anticipated and well-attended events in Lazio.
The Festival Program
Born out of the local community’s passion, the festival celebrates the “King of the Woods” by offering a well-rounded experience that blends traditional cuisine, nature excursions, crafts, and live music.
The opening of the food court is the highlight of every day of the festival. Porcini mushrooms will feature in numerous traditional recipes: visitors can enjoy fettuccine, gnocchi, hearty risottos, and polenta—all designed to highlight the authentic flavors of the woods.
The menu is rounded out by a wide selection of main courses and delicacies, including succulent arrosticini, bruschetta, supplì, and pizza—all expertly paired with DOC wines selected from the best wineries in the Lazio region.
Every weekend features a packed schedule of entertainment, sports tournaments, and activities for all age groups.
First Weekend (September 4–6)
On Friday, September 4, the festivities kick off with a Burraco tournament scheduled for 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, September 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the public will be treated to a live broadcast with Radio Radio, followed by a nature hike to Fonte Formali. On Sunday, September 6, after a morning walk to Fonte La Tegola, families can enjoy the “I Figli delle Stelle” lunch show at 12:30 p.m., followed by games for the little ones in the afternoon.
Second Weekend (September 11–13)
Music kicks off the second weekend with a performance by the Alex Band on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, September 12, Holy Mass and a solemn procession in honor of Our Lady of Good Counsel are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, September 13, coinciding with the opening of the food stalls at noon, visitors will be able to enjoy two themed exhibitions: one on mushrooms and one on photography.
Third Weekend (September 18–20)
On Friday, the 18th, dinner will be enlivened by entertainment from Simone & Roberto. On Saturday, September 19, the Briscola Tournament takes center stage at 3:00 p.m., while the evening will feature Giada Live Music. To close out the event, on Sunday, September 20, special exhibitions dedicated to the forest will be set up at 12:00 p.m., with the grand musical finale once again performed by the duo Simone & Roberto starting at 8:30 p.m.
The event will take place in Piazza Capranica, in Colle di Fuori, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
