Piazza Bologna is Rome’s student area par excellence. And it is right here that Francesco Cantone and Giusy Pontillo, two young people from Campania who have become popular on social media thanks to their recipes and the “Vita da Fuorisede” channel, decided to open The Circolino, a place designed primarily for college students and young people off campus, but open to everyone.
The venue aims to be a “home away from home,” with fun phrases for students and young people living in Rome for study purposes, for example the picture “If you touch me, you pass the next exam.”
The work station
The main goal is to create a supportive community where it is easy to make new friends and feel less lonely in a big city. The decor includes social tables, a work station with free wifi, ideal for both studying/working and spending leisure time.
The venue is pet friendly.
What to eat.
The menu is inspired by Campanian traditions and “home” cuisine, with highlights such as pasta and potatoes, zucchini alla scapece, meatballs with meat sauce, buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto, and lasagna. As soon as you enter you can choose what to get at the counter, there are also light formulas with poke to be composed at the moment.
During the day you can have lunch, snack on freshly squeezed juices, juices and cakes, while in the evening the place offers aperitifs with hearty “Neapolitan” platters (at 14 euros) and dinners.
Prices are fairly low to meet the needs of students. They also offered the Sunday box with pasta and potatoes for 7 € (take away). Graduations and birthdays can also be celebrated upon request.
