The new locations will open their doors in two key areas of Rome’s nightlife and daily life: at the Gazometro ( Via del Gazometro 4) and in San Giovanni (Via Gallia 15d). To celebrate this important milestone, the brand has organized a special day open to the public on June 26 at 6 p.m., designed to reward the loyalty of its fans and attract new visitors.
The grand opening program includes a free burger for everyone attending the event. But the real race against time will be for the exclusive Smash Card. This special card will be given only to the first 100 people to line up at each location. The prize? Absolutely extraordinary: the card entitles the holder to one free meal per week for an entire year at participating locations.
The brand’s history
SmashTag’s story is one of meteoric success, born from a passion for comfort food. It all began with a long road trip across the United States undertaken by the founders, Giorgio Rajani and Riccardo Di Salvo, who set out with a clear mission: to find the recipe for the perfect burger. After countless tastings at the best American food trucks, they reworked and refined the definitive technique, bringing it to Rome for the first time.
Its debut in Piazza Bologna in April 2021 served as a true springboard for growth, later solidified by the spectacular Prati location on Via Vittorio Colonna—a two-story space also designed for events and private parties featuring a ’90s vibe, balloons, and plenty of yellow and fuchsia, the brand’s iconic colors.
