Have you ever wanted to talk about your favorite book with those who feel the same way you do? In Rome, it is possible to participate in several reading clubs, offered by bookstores, but also libraries and other cultural spaces. However, there are also other events to attend if you love to read. We hope you find this article useful. Here are the book clubs in the city.
Reading Circles of the Libraries of Rome
The Libraries of Rome host more than 70 book clubs in different locations, open to readers of all ages. Each group reads a selected book and discusses specific themes, authors or genres. Some circles are dedicated to young readers, while others participate in cultural initiatives such as Premio Strega or literary festivals. Active locations include the Aldo Fabrizi Library, Guglielmo Marconi and Villa Leopardi.
“Reading circles are small, open communities where shared reading becomes the key to getting to know the world also through the eyes of others.“

Fairy Echo Bookstore
This bookstore organizes various circles for different age groups. We can say that it is especially suitable for younger children, with fun meetings focused on reading. It proposes:
- Young Circle: for children between 11 and 13 years old
- Junior Circle: for children between 8 and 10 years old
- The Beginning: for children aged 7 to 8 who are beginning to read independently
Usually these meetings take place on Saturdays, you can stay updated on Fairy Echo’s activities, through the library’s social channels.
Meetup “Let’s read together in Rome”
An informal group that is organized through the Meetup platform. Here participants choose a book to read each month and meet to discuss it in a relaxed and convivial setting (in parks or other places). Picnics are also organized during warm weather.
These clubs provide opportunities to cultivate a passion for reading, meet new people, and explore literary topics in stimulating environments. Meetings with authors and other events for book lovers are also posted on the social channels mentioned above.
