The Porcini Mushroom Festival in Lariano
The Porcini Mushroom Festival is an annual event celebrating the porcini mushroom, known as the “King of the Woods.” This year, the 32nd edition returns from September 5 to 22, 2024 in Lariano, a town in the province of Rome.
The event takes place at via Napoli No. 201 with free admission. The festival is organized by the Porcini Mushroom Festival Association, which has been active since 1991, and is an established tradition in the area. During the event, participants can enjoy a wide selection of porcini mushroom dishes, fettuccine, meat main courses and sandwiches, as well as numerous side activities celebrating local culture and traditions.
The program for the 2024 event includes many guests, such as Albano, Jerry Calà, Cristina D’Avena, Nomadi, Ivana Spagna/Righeira, Mirko Casadei, etc.
The Porcino Mushroom Festival of Rocca Priora
The Porcino Mushroom Festival is also held in Rocca Priora, in the town of Colle di Fuori, in the province of Rome. During this event, also in September, visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes based on porcini mushrooms, which are the stars of the festival. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate the local culinary tradition and enjoy a festive atmosphere.
It takes place on the two weekends of September 6-7-8 and September 13-14-15, for lunch and dinner. In all, there are two thousand seats in the shade of the Castelli Romani Park. The event offers visitors the chance to enjoy tasty dishes, accompanied by live music and other activities.
