Come sunflower season, the flowers that move with the Sun. About an hour and a half from Rome, Viterbo is home to the sunflower and gladiolus field. Every summer this park opens its doors to visitors in search of the flowers of light and life.
It is home to 15 varieties of ornamental sunflowers of different shades, so you will not only find classic sunflowers but also rare nuances: orange, red, vanilla, white and pink. Did you know.
In another area of the Tuscia Flower garden, beautiful gladioli are grown; you can find 30 thousand of 12 species. These flowers are also used for decorative purposes, the flowers on the tall stem is like forming a spike. These plants, once cut and placed in the vase, tend to last a long time, thus beautifying our home with a mix of colors, pure white, golden yellow, lilac, purple, light blue and deep blue.
How does the sunflower and gladiolus field work?
The sunflower field is a bit like the tulip field-you can enter and choose your favorite flowers.
The adult ticket, which can be purchased online, costs 7 euros and already includes 7 flowers. Then you can pick more sunflowers or gladioli, creating a bouquet to take home or give as a gift. The ticket for children ages 6 to 12 costs 5 euros and includes 5 flowers. Children up to 5 years old do not pay admission. Each additional flower costs 1.50 euros.

The park remains open throughout the flowering period. Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 11:30 pm. You can also dine at Tuscia Flower, but you must make reservations in advance. On weekends we switch to continuous hours: Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. During these days (with reservations) it is possible to have lunch and dinner.
