
Oriental event in the capital
The Festival of the Orient in Rome will be held April 25-27, 2025 at the Fiera Roma (Via Portuense 1645). The event will be open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will offer exhibitions, performances, workshops, food areas, martial arts and numerous activities dedicated to Asian cultures.
More than 300 live performances will be held: traditional Korean dances, Japanese tea ceremonies, martial arts performances, folklore shows and traditional songs from numerous Asian countries.
Not to be missed is the spectacular preparation of Mochi (Mochitsuki “Medetaya”), the Chinese lion dance with two lions on stage, and Oriental Tango, an unprecedented meeting of Middle Eastern dance and Argentine tango.
In addition to the classic bazaars and booths of typical products from more than 15 countries, there will be new areas dedicated to health and wellness, with free holistic therapies and wellness workshops. Visitors will be able to participate in free yoga, meditation (Buddhist, Zen, Thai), reiki, ayurvedic massage and shiatsu sessions, as well as experience numerous holistic therapies and bionatural disciplines such as theta healing, Bach flowers, bio music, rebirthing and postural integration
Magic shows, origami workshops and traditional games are planned for children, with free admission for under-8s and certified disabled.
There will be no shortage of insights on spirituality, Eastern religions (Taoism, Hinduism), and free classes on arts and traditions of Asia. Dedicated lectures and activities will be held in the reconstruction of a Buddhist temple.
