The Roman Ottobrata in Caracalla is a free event taking place Oct. 5 and 6 at the Alcazar Garden, behind the Baths of Caracalla in Rome. The event celebrates Roman culture through folk songs, historic and modern music, street performers, Roman street food, natural wines and an artisan market.
The event’s main activities
- Music and Shows: Traditional Roman songs, performances by street artists, juggling and acrobatics. Saturday will feature a comedy magic show with the Clown Monello at 4 p.m., Astronza’s astrological cabaret at 5 p.m. and Filuccio and Fattacci at 6 p.m. Sunday at 6 p.m. features “GRA” with a Roman musical repertoire
- Street Food and Natural Wines: Roman street food specialties, with vegetarian and vegan options, accompanied by selected natural wines
- Artisan Market: The Hippie Market offers a variety of artisan products such as fashion, jewelry, vintage items and more
For children there will be:
- creative workshops combining recycling and fine motor skills
- activities such as fall amulet making and Caviardage challenges for adults
- Zen corner for the little ones with puzzles and books
