Museums in Music is an annual event to be held in Rome on December 7, 2024, offering the opportunity to attend concerts and live performances (last year there were more than 100) in the city’s Civic Museums and other cultural spaces, which are open extraordinarily from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. With a symbolic entrance fee of 1 euro, visitors will be able to explore the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, accompanied by musical performances spanning various genres, such as jazz, pop, classical and opera.
The 2023 initiative involved more than 50 exhibition spaces, including the Capitoline Museums, the Ara Pacis Museum and the Centrale Montemartini. Here are some of the venues open extraordinarily:

In addition, a call for applications is open for artists, musicians, bands and performers who wish to perform during the event in the Civic Museums. Applications can be submitted until noon on Nov. 25, 2024, offering a unique opportunity to enliven the museums with their art.
