In this heat, one really feels like diving into cool, clear waters. Near Rome there are natural pools that are considered among the most fascinating in the world. And we want to explain how to reach and discover them….
The Mole di Narni are a charming natural corner located in the province of Terni, Umbria, along the Nera River Gorges, a short distance from the town of Narni. They are natural pools of crystal-clear water and deep turquoise color, set in a narrow valley carved by the river over the centuries, creating a landscape of rare beauty and almost fairy-tale-like, so much so that it inspired the writer C.S. Lewis for his “Chronicles of Narnia.” Did you know.
The temperature of the waters is around 12ºC, freezing for those who enter hot.
