The countdown to the 14th edition of Open House Rome has officially begun. As the capital prepares to unveil its treasures from May 16 to 24, 2026, enthusiasts’ attention is focused on one date. Monday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. will be the exact moment when online reservations open on the official website.
Home or Cinema?
Among the more than 200 venues on the program, there is a home in the Pinciano neighborhood that is already making a name for itself thanks to its cinematic charm and surprising architectural features.
Located at Corso d’Italia 11, across from the Aurelian Walls, this residence is not just an apartment, but a tribute to La Dolce Vita and 1960s Roman cinema. The project revolves around the owners’ passion for the big screen, transforming the domestic spaces into a vibrant set of cinematic imagery.
An 18-meter-long velvet curtain guides guests down the hallway, creating a sense of anticipation and theatricality. From the suspended armchair at the entrance next to a real transplanted walnut tree, to the kitchen window that switches from opaque to transparent with a click. The eye is drawn to luminous diamond-patterned wooden ceilings, vintage blue ceramics, and a striking contrast between textured resin bathrooms and frescoes discovered in the studio.
The master bedroom was designed as a private observatory overlooking the park’s greenery, with the Canaletto walnut bed strategically positioned to enjoy the view.
