Just a stone’s throw from Rome, this summer a little restaurant, surrounded by bamboo, proposed a very special dinner with a Beauty and the Beast theme. We are talking about Hibiscus Bamboo in Rocca Priora. Here chef Luna Tramentozzi has designed a tasting menu with many original dishes, such as the Once Upon a Time (beef tartare in cookie, mozzarella in a Kataifi pastry basket and pea cream) or the Rosa Incantata (duck mezzelune, its bottom, basil oil and grana fondant).
At the table, then, as the Sun sets, we retrace the fairy tale that has enchanted thousands of children around the world. An opportunity to recover that childlike spirit that gives us lightness and magic. Periodically the fairy tale changes, along with the dishes. Talking with the chef, she informed us that the summer season at Bamboo is ending (although they have not defined a date, it will depend on the weather) and the restaurant will reopen in winter in a new guise, with transparent bubbles where you can eat, always enjoying nature. So: a romantic winter dinner to plan, if you love these out-of-the-ordinary locations.
The tasting menu includes: welcome drink with glass of Rosé, entreè (caviar diamond), two appetizers, first course, second course, pre-dessert and small pastries. The cost is 70 euros per person, including coffee and water.
In the Beauty and the Beast menu we find:
- Welcome drink
- Diamond Caviar Baikal (entreé)
- Once Upon a Time: Beef Tartare Moon in Biscuit, Mozzarella in Kataifi Pasta Basket and Cream of Peas
