Enosake is a Japanese restaurant (not all you can eat) with a proposal that combines the high quality of sushi and Japanese cuisine with the offer of a wine bar specializing in sake (in fact, the name combines the words “wine bar” and “sake”). This alcoholic beverage is prepared through a fermentation process involving rice, water and koji spores. We tried the peach and ginger sake, both of which were good and enjoyable even for those who do not like to drink liquor, since they were light.
The restaurant has been open for about a year and is well maintained. The ambiance is ideal for an elegant dinner or a special date in the capital.
What to eat at Enosake
Enosake’s cuisine goes beyond classic sushi, exploring different aspects of Japanese gastronomy, often with a sophisticated twist and the use of premium or unusual ingredients.
The sushi section is rich, with a focus on specialty Uramaki. For example, there are offerings such as:
- Golden Sake Uramaki: with Grilled Salmon, Smoked Burrata and Potato Julienne.
- Uramaki White Special: with Grilled Sea Bass, Avocado, Flame Seared Amberjack, Mayonnaise and Teriyaki.
- Uramaki Aka Toro: with Plate Seared Tuna Ventresca, Raw Red Shrimp and Avocado.
The menu also finds ample space in the raw section, with offerings such as sea bass tartare with avocado and fresh sauces (ponzu, lime, mango). In addition, it includes hot dishes typical of Matsuri (Japanese festivals) and tradition, you can enjoy Ramen, Yaki Soba (buckwheat noodles) and Udon (Japanese noodles).
There is also no shortage of fried food and dumplings: tempura (including vegetable) and Gyoza (dumplings) with different fillings, including the unique Wagyu Ozaki.
Also being a wine bar, Enosake pays great attention to the world of Japanese sake and spirits, offering an unusual pairing experience for standard Japanese restaurants.
đź’° Prices reflect a quality proposal and the use of special ingredients (such as Red Prawns, Wagyu or smoked Burrata), about 45/50 euros per person, excluding dessert.
