Moms and work? An innovative space opened in Rome a few months ago: Working Mom. It is not a traditional baby parking: here the child plays and grows up next to the mother in a stimulating and safe environment, with qualified staff following the child with activities inspired by the Montessori and Steiner methods.
What does Working Mom offer?

Working Mom offers a coworking space where moms work together, supporting each other, in a space of community and sharing without isolation. This initiative, a benefit company, aims to integrate family life, career, happiness and social impact, and can be part of corporate welfare to concretely support working mothers. Space can be reserved on the Working Mama website and an 8 h day costs less than 50 euros, 6 h 37 euros.
In addition to coworking, the facility offers workshops on parenting and personal growth and workshops for children. For example, the music workshop structured according to the age of the little ones (0-11 years old).
As for birthday parties, they are creative and child-friendly, all marked by respectful, authentic and inspiring educational methods. To name a few:
- the Enchanted Forest Party (Steiner): a workshop to build fairy houses using natural materials. This is followed by a lantern-lit animated reading involving children, a sensory table with natural elements, and circle dancing accompanied by soft music for a magical and immersive nature-related experience.
- the Little Artist’s Festival: children engage in watercolor painting on wet paper, modeling with beeswax, collage and use of plant stamps. At the end, there is a display where they share their creations, encouraging artistic expression and sharing.
- the Country Life Festival: hands-on activities such as kneading bread or cookies and decanting with seeds allow direct contact with natural materials. Children create wreaths of natural elements and sow seeds in mini pots to take home, fostering a connection with the earth and its cycles.
