The 50 Top Pizza Italia 2025 ranking reveals the best pizzerias in our country. Rome not only dominates the special ranking dedicated to “pizza on the go” (by the slice and by the pan) with Alessandro Santilli’s Frumentario (in 1st place) and Gabriele Bonci’s Pizzarium in 2nd place, it also stands out in the Top Pizza Italia ranking.
Seu Pizza Illuminati takes 3rd place overall, confirming itself as a national excellence. Pier Daniele Seu and Valeria Zuppardo, after years of success and innovation, celebrate the podium by also announcing a complete restyling of the restaurant for September: a more intimate and sophisticated space that will still maintain the distinctive pop character of the pizzeria. This achievement represents Rome among the best on the peninsula, enhancing the quality of the offer and the creativity of the team.
Confirming the vibrancy of the Roman scene, TAC – Thin And Crunchy enters in 43rd position, with Pier Daniele Seu and Valeria Zuppardo proposing a new vision of the traditional Roman pizza: the thin and crispy re-imagined with almost maniacal attention to doughs and raw materials. TAC, opened in 2024 in Mostacciano, has already established itself as a reference point for lovers of Roman style, focusing on conviviality and neighborhood experience.
Also of note is new entry Fornace Stella & Muscas, recognized as an “excellent pizzeria.” Established in October 2024 in the Marconi neighborhood, the pizzeria fuses the Roman and contemporary Neapolitan schools under the leadership of Alessio Muscas, with the ambition of combining tradition, experimentation and quality in both doughs and toppings.
