A few years ago, after decades of honing his craft at historic ice cream shops, Simone Romano opened his own oasis of flavor: Gelato Romano. The concept is based on absolute naturalness. In the open kitchen, Simone creates a product free of artificial ingredients or refined sugars. The ingredients are simple and high-quality: cane sugar, organic milk, and fresh seasonal fruit.
Gelato Romano’s Flavors
The counter offers a rotating selection of about 32 flavors ranging from the great classics to the boldest experiments, always following the rhythm of the seasons (from summer fruits like watermelon and cantaloupe to fall flavors like Mont Blanc, chestnut, and persimmon). The signature flavor is Simone’s zabaione . A nostalgic recipe tied to childhood memories.
Among the premium selections, the 100% Arabica Coffee, the exceptional 70% Amedei chocolate, and 100% Bagua Nativo stand out, along with unique flavors like Salted Peanut and gourmet variations.

The no-added-sugar line, designed for those who need to keep their blood sugar in check or are looking for healthy options, includes several varieties: Tonda Gentile Romana Hazelnut, Avola Almond, and Dark Chocolate.
There are also lactose-free gelatos (such as hazelnut and pistachio) and a line of pastries (cheesecake, crêpes, tiramisu, cupola, tarts, and gluten-free cookies). In short, it’s a dessert paradise for anyone who loves to sweeten their day. You can also order 750-gram to 1.3-kg tubs of ice cream for home delivery, starting at 30 euros.
