Last July, Ultimo announced his mega-concert “La Favola per Sempre,” which sold 250,000 tickets, surpassing Vasco Rossi’s previous national record set at Modena Park in 2017. This achievement secured the Roman singer-songwriter’s place in Italian music history. Ultimo’s concert, scheduled for July 4, 2026, seemed destined to remain unbeatable. Yet now, it appears that this record might be broken by Vasco Rossi’s fans. But is that really the case?
The announcement regarding his jubilee celebrations came as a surprise during the Vasco Live concert in Ferrara on June 5. The project includes a series of events spread out between spring and June 2027, with Rome at the heart of the initiative. The centerpiece of the entire program will be a 10-concert residency at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico, which aims to draw approximately 500,000 spectators. Vasco himself has referred to it as a “national celebration, ” set to last an entire month and set to break the record for the largest residency ever held in Italy.

Immediately after the announcement, it was thought that Vasco would snatch the record from Ultimo right there at Tor Vergata. The Tor Vergata area, near the Vela di Calatrava, is a large open-air space in Rome’s 6th Municipality designed to host mass events. The venue, which previously hosted the Youth Jubilee, is currently undergoing a revitalization and is described by the City of Rome as one of the largest concert venues in Italy and Europe.
As always, Vasco Rossi has amazed everyone by announcing a 10-concert residency. Tickets for the following dates will be available on Live Nation Italia starting July 6, 2026, for Blasco Fan Club members;July 8, 2026, for Mastercard holders ; and July 10, 2026, for general sale.

A self-described “provocateur-songwriter,” he has performed in more than 850 concerts over the course of his career, drawing a total of over 14 million spectators and holding the world record for the largest paying audience at a solo concert for eight years. Not only that, but with over 37 albums released and approximately 40 million copies sold, he ranks among Italy’s most successful artists.
Over the years, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the “Il Paroliere” National Award in 1982 for the song “Ogni volta,” the Nastro d’Argento for Best Original Song for “Un senso,” an honorary doctorate in communication sciences from IULM in Milan in 2005, and the Keys to the City of Florence in 2025.
