Some more information about chocolate
Chocolate is a food derived from the seeds of the cacao tree, Theobroma cacao, and comes in several types. Dark chocolate, beloved by purists, contains at least 45 percent cocoa paste and offers health benefits due to its richness in antioxidants and minerals such as magnesium and iron. Milk chocolate, on the other hand, has a sweeter, creamier flavor due to the addition of milk powder. White chocolate, which has no cocoa mass, is composed mainly of cocoa butter, sugar and vanilla.
How is it produced?
The production of chocolate is a complex process that begins with the fermentation and roasting of cocoa beans. This process enhances the aromatic properties of cocoa, which vary depending on the variety used. For example, Criollo Cacao is known for its superior quality and aromatic taste with floral notes.
Benefits
The benefits of dark chocolate include improving mood through the release of endorphins and protecting against oxidative stress through flavonoids. In addition, it can help improve blood circulation and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
