Panettone Maximo is a national festival dedicated to artisan panettone, now in its sixth year. The final event will be held on December 1, 2024 at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome EUR, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. The prefinals, meanwhile, will take place on November 27 and 28 at Eataly Roma Ostiense, where finalists will be selected from 90 competing panettoni (45 traditional and 45 chocolate).
Forty-five pastry shops from all over Italy will participate, with a jury of industry experts awarding prizes to the best panettoni in various categories. In addition to the competing panettoni, other Christmas delicacies such as nougat, chocolate, wines and spirits will be available. And, during the final event, there will be show cooking with famous pastry chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants.
Christmas market and village
During the December finals, visitors will be able to taste about 200 types of panettone, both competing and non-competing, available for purchase. In addition, the “Christmas Market” will display food and wine excellences and for Christmas baskets wines, bubbles, bitters and spirits, nougat and chocolate in various declinations, truffles, hazelnuts and many other typical Christmas treats.
For the little ones there will be the Christmas Village, an area dedicated to children with games, animations and the presence of Santa Claus.

The event supports charitable causes, donating panettoni to facilities for less fortunate children. The special guest of the sixth edition of Panettone Maximo will be the Italian committee of UNICEF.
