Rome’s Museum of Illusions is a journey into the unexpected, to an extraordinary place that offers its visitors a one-of-a-kind, immersive and interactive experience designed to challenge the mind of those who venture there.
A special museum
The Museum of Illusions in Rome is a place where science and perspective intertwine with art and creativity, resulting in a series of optical effects and illusions. Inside the museum are more than 70 interactive installations, each designed to test the limits of human perception. Each room offers a singular experience that will leave visitors surprised and entertained.
The tour, which a duration of about an hour, will take experience participants on a journey through optical illusions and deceptive works of art. Every corner of the museum is designed to amaze and entertain, making it ideal for adults and children who wish to explore an unexpected museum.
The interactive rooms
The museum is divided into several rooms, each offering a different illusion. In the asymmetry room, you’ll feel like you’re flying thanks to an optical illusion built by mirrors. Conversely, in the rotated room, you can walk upside down and defy gravity just as if you were Spider-Man.
Have you ever thought about what the world would be like if there were deciders of “you”? In the hall of mirrors you can see five, ten, twenty versions of yourself. But that’s not all! For the more daring, the museum also offers adrenaline-pumping experiences such as the Vortex Tunnel, which challenges the stability of brave passersby.
A museum for everyone
Whether you are a tourist visiting Rome or a Roman looking for an afternoon a little different, the Museum of Illusions in Rome is a must.
