La Ménagère, a renowned restaurant originally from Florence, recently opened a new location in Rome, located at 98 Via Mario de’ Fiori, near the Spanish Steps. This new venue is located in a 17th-century building that once housed artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini and the historic Gilda nightclub, famous in the 1980s and 1990s as a hangout for the international jet set.
La Ménagère in Rome covers 1,000 square meters and offers an all-day dining experience that includes a restaurant, café, cocktail bar, store and flower shop. The interior design was supervised by architect Claudio Nardi, in collaboration with Alice Bandini Quartinieri, with the aim of blending historical elements with modern and exclusive design. The spaces feature a large courtyard with a skylight and a 19-meter-long pink marble bar, enriched with artistic decorations by Simon Miller.
The concept of the restaurant follows that of the Florentine venue, with a cuisine that places great emphasis on the quality of raw materials and offers refined dishes accompanied by a selection of Italian and French wines. Menu specialties include Filetto alla Wellington and Spaghetto aglio, olio, peperoncino, parsley and bottarga.
La Ménagère in Rome is not only a restaurant but also a multifunctional space that includes a library with more than a thousand botanical-themed titles and offers the possibility of organizing private events in exclusive settings. This venue aims to be a new destination in the city for those seeking an experience that combines quality food, sophisticated design, and a unique atmosphere in the heart of the Italian capital.
