The famous Drink Kong brand, led by bartender Patrick Pistolesi, is preparing to open its second location in Rome. The new opening is scheduled for early March at Via dei Prefetti 22, in the Campo Marzio district, in a strategic location just a few steps from the Parliament.

The venue will be located next to the new luxury accommodation facility Casa JK. Although the two entities are independent, they will share a philosophy focused on high-level hospitality. The design, entrusted to architect Roberto Antobenedetto, blends the sci-fi aesthetic dear to the brand with fine materials such as marble and brass. Inside (seating approximately 50), the space will be divided into three areas:
- The Main Room: featuring an impressive 8-meter bar and a monumental bottle rack.
- The Lounge: an area dedicated to relaxation, enriched with references to the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright.
- The Japanese Soul: a more private area that references the “dark side” of Nite Kong, with sliding doors, cherry red tones, and cinematic references to Blade Runner.
Drink offerings at the ‘new’ bar
From a mixology perspective, Pistolesi focuses on a “back to basics” philosophy. The menu will focus on contemporary reinterpretations of the great classics, with a particular focus on the Martini cocktail, a symbol of timeless elegance. The aim is to offer clean and balanced drinks, maintaining the rock and technical identity that allowed the original venue to climb the World’s 50 Best Bars rankings.
For Patrick Pistolesi, this project also represents a return to his professional roots and a cultural challenge: to bring great signature mixology back to the heart of the capital, creating a “temple” where design and music merge with the ritual of drinking well.
The other bar is located in Piazza di S. Martino Ai Monti 8 and has received more than 2,000 reviews!
