If you’ve always wanted to experience a bit of the magic of the Disney Pixar film “Coco,” now is the time. At Largo Venue, on Oct. 26, you will be able to immerse yourself in Mexican culture amid colors, music and authentic flavors to celebrate life and memory.
The Capitol’s autumn lights up with the return of one of the most spectacular holidays on the world calendar: the Dia de los Muertos.
The Mexican festival in Rome
Largo Venue transforms into a vibrant corner of Mexico to host this grand celebration. The event breaks with dark and frightening imagery, offering instead a riot of joy and color to honor those who are no longer with us.
The beating heart of the event will be the altar of offerings (ofrenda), expertly curated by Rocio Neri. This sacred space invites visitors to perpetuate the ancient custom by bringing photos or small gifts, reaffirming the continuity of the bond between the living and the deceased.
Adding to the atmosphere will be the iconic figure of Catrina, sumptuously dressed and played by Cynthia Medina, whose elegant look and all staff in themed makeup will ensure a fully immersive visual experience.
Here is the schedule of activities
- 1 p.m. – theatrical performance
- 2 p.m. – the indoor hall comes alive with the Mexican Baby Dance, a moment dedicated to the little ones among themed steps and merriment
