Much more than just a newsstand, founded in March 2019 in the heart of Rome’s Prati neighborhood, Edicola Erno is not your typical newsstand. Since its debut, it has distinguished itself as a dynamic cultural hub, focusing on a curated selection of independent magazines spanning art, fashion, design, architecture, and lifestyle.
Its strength lies in its ability to transform: the storefronts don’t just display print media, but become open-air galleries for illustrations and visual projects. Erno serves as a bridge between the public and the creative world, presenting ambitious projects every week and a monthly calendar packed with pop-ups and events organized in collaboration with artists and brands. Among past events, we can find pop-ups by Naima, Qc Terme, and Mubi.
Coffee break with Kimbo

These days, the newsstand reaffirms its status as a hub for Roman “urban vibes” by hosting#MissioneKimbo. After hitting the streets of Rome on their signature cargo bikes, the Neapolitan baristas have arrived in Piazza Capponi.
A perfect opportunity to discover the true flavor of Naples in the contemporary and sophisticated setting of one of the capital’s most innovative newsstands. ☕️🍩
📍 Rome, Piazza Capponi – through March 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Brand History
Kimbo’s story began in the 1960s in Naples, thanks to the vision of the Rubino brothers. Starting with a small artisanal roastery called Cafè do Brasil, the Rubinos rode the economic boom by introducing innovative vacuum-sealed cans, which allowed them to export the aroma of authentic Neapolitan coffee everywhere.
The Kimbo brand was officially founded in 1963, quickly becoming a symbol of excellence. This was thanks to iconic advertising campaigns featuring well-known faces from film and television, such as Pippo Baudo and Gigi Proietti. Today, the company is a global leader, bringing the Neapolitan espresso ritual to over 80 countries.
