Following its summer editions, the Bonfire Market returns to Caffarella Park to welcome fall with a two-day event dedicated to creativity, nature, and sustainability. On Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Bonfire Garden on Vicolo Sant’Urbano opens its doors with 45 independent exhibitors and a program of activities for all ages. Admission is free.
The selection of exhibitors ranges from ceramics, illustration, jewelry, vintage items, botany, and natural cosmetics. Among the confirmed names is Margotmao – Valentina Bartolotta, an illustrator and artist who will showcase prints, original works, and a delicate, instantly recognizable visual style. Sea Lily, on the other hand, presents a line of handmade jewelry crafted in Italy using shells and materials collected along the coast: rings, bracelets, and brooches where the natural imperfections of the materials become part of the design. For plant enthusiasts, Mabà Plants offers Japanese-style kokedama arrangements—spheres of soil and moss that replace the traditional pot with something more vibrant and decorative.
Workshops, archeocosmetology, and upcycling

The grove in the Bonfire Garden hosts a program of workshops for adults and children. Among Saturday’s highlights is a free educational session led by Francesca Rossetti, an archaeocosmetologist and science communicator, dedicated to cosmetics in ancient Rome: ingredients, fragrances, tools, and rituals for body and hair care in the ancient world.
Also returning is “I’ll Give It to You If You Come Pick It Up, ” the free exchange initiative based on a simple principle: anyone who brings five items in good condition—books, games, clothing, small objects—can take home whatever they find in the designated area. It’s a practical way to give things a new lease on life and reduce waste.
For those who want to linger, the market offers relaxation areas, ping-pong, and foosball. Food is provided by Twist and Chips, featuring smash burgers, Japanese-style karaage chicken, and vegan options, paired with beer, wine, cocktails, and coffee—from opening until aperitif time.
