In the beating heart of Rome, at Corso d’Italia 37/D, stands a new and vital cultural institution: the MAM – Media Art Museum. Born from an ambitious project conceived and curated by Flyer new media, the MAM is not merely a temporary exhibition space but immediately establishes itself as the new permanent home dedicated entirely to media art.
In a city historically and inextricably linked to classical art, the MAM represents a breaking point, a breath of innovation, and a solid bridge toward the future of visual and technological creativity. Its mission is clear and radical: to redefine the way the public interacts with artistic expression, transforming a museum visit from a purely contemplative experience into a total, physical, and multisensory immersion.
The true crowning jewel of this new museum complex—and the embodiment of its philosophy—is undoubtedly its monumental immersive hall. This 300-square-meter space represents the heart and soul of the experience offered by the MAM. Inside, traditional architectural boundaries literally vanish: the walls and floor merge into a single, immense audiovisual environment where images and sound completely envelop visitors.

HyperMedia in October: Buy tickets
To introduce itself to the general public, the MAM has chosen to inaugurate its spaces with “HyperMedia,” an exhibition that serves as a true statement of intent for the museum (open from October 9, 2026, through the end of May 2027). Through this exhibition, the museum demonstrates its role as both an archive and a laboratory, tracing over twenty years of evolution in digital creativity.
The MAM thus becomes the place where the pioneers of digital culture and the very earliest Net Art engage in real-time dialogue with the most contemporary forms of expression, ranging from interactive installations to artificial intelligence and generative art.
By hosting artists and works from no fewer than 11 different countries—including the United States, Australia, France, the Netherlands, and Turkey—the institution immediately positions itself as a global hub for experimentation.
A perfect example of this is the inclusion of works such as“Hypnagogia” by the Italian artist Alice Felloni, which demonstrate the museum’s technical capabilities in transforming an unstable mental landscape into an explorable physical space. But the MAM is much more than a collection or a venue for long-term exhibitions.

The Museum as a Cultural Hub
From its very first months of operation in the fall of 2026, the venue will open its doors to host world-class events such as the 27th edition of the LPM (Live Performers Meeting), the Live Cinema Festival (LCF), and the Fotonica Festival. By offering a daily ticket priced at 20 euros for its events, the museum aims to make the excellence of technological innovation accessible to all.
