Stardust Village is back to turn on the lights—at least for four evenings. From September 11 to 14, 2026, the outdoor area of the former Torrino cinema will be transformed into an open-air arena featuring a large professional screen and 150 seats, hosting “Open-Air Cinema Under a Shower of Stars,” a free film festival organized by the Marte 2010 Cultural Association with the support of Rome’s 9th Municipal District.
The theme of the 2026 edition is contemporary Italian comedy, in both its auteur and satirical forms. Every evening, after the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to speak directly with the directors and actors of the films during discussions moderated by film critic Francesco di Brigida.
The program, night by night

Friday, September 11, kicks off with *Prendiamoci una pausa*, featuring director and lead actor Christian Marazziti as a guest. On Saturday, September 12, it’s time for *Unicorni*, featuring Michela Andreozzi, who is also the film’s director and lead actress. On Sunday, September 13, Pilar Fogliati presents *Romantiche*, her debut film in which she worked both behind and in front of the camera. The festival concludes on Monday, September 14, with *Tre storie in bottiglia*, attended by director Giuseppe Gandini and several members of the cast.
The choice of Stardust Village is no coincidence. The venue, which closed in October 2024, has remained a defining landmark for the Torrino neighborhood. The initiative aims to keep the bond between the venue and the community alive, pending its future conversion into a multifunctional cultural hub—a project that Rome’s 9th Municipal District is launching through a European call for proposals.
Admission is free. Screenings begin at 9:00 p. m. The venue is located at Via del Pianeta Terra 4, Rome’s 9th Municipal District. For the complete program and reservations, visit the festival’s official website.
