This Saturday evening, September 13, 2025, St. Peter’s Square will be the backdrop for a concert destined to go down in history. “Grace for the World” is a one-of-a-kind, completely free concert featuring world-renowned artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Karol G and Pharrell Williams, which aims to unite humanity and send a powerful message through music. Here’s everything you need to know about this maxi event at the Vatican.
How to Attend
Admission is completely free and includes access to St. Peter’s and the show. However, registration does not automatically guarantee access, as entry to the square will be on a first-come, first-served basis and access to the event will be possible until maximum capacity is reached. The event is also accessible to those in wheelchairs, but this must be specified at the time of registration.
Timetable: doors opening and start of the concert
The doors of St. Peter’s will open around 6 p.m., but showing up well in advance is highly recommended. The concert will start at 9:00 pm.
Artists featured in “Grace for the World”
A monumental event that will bring world-renowned musicians to the Holy See. Participants include Italian Maestro Andrea Bocelli, South American urban icon Karol G, author of the catchphrase “Happy” Pharrell Williams and the legendary John Legend . Not only that, Clipse, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, Angélique Kidjo, the voices of the Fire Gospel Choir and international choirs will also take the stage, as well as many other artists.
During the concert, there will also be a unique technological show created by Nova Sky Stories where more than 3,000 drones will use the Vatican sky as a canvas, painting images inspired by the Sistine Chapel.
How to get to St. Peter’s: road closures and accessibility
As with all major events at St. Peter’s, we expect total or partial closures of some streets surrounding the area, such as Borgo Santo Spirito, Via Scossacavalli and Via dell’Ospedale. Among these, it is highly probable that there will be closures from half of the street to Piazza Papa Pio XII and of Via Paolo VI, Piazza del Sant’Uffizio, and Via di Porta Angelica, usually used as pre-filtering areas and for security checks.
To reach St. Peter’s Square, the use of the subway is recommended. The nearest stop is Ottaviano-San Pietro on the A line. Traveling by car is not recommended.
What not to bring
For entry to St. Peter’s, controls will be made, so please note that it is forbidden to bring:
- glass bottles
- blunt objects
- backpacks, trolleys and other bulky objects
- laser pointers and amplifying microphones
- umbrellas
It will be possible to bring a water bottle but the cap will be removed at the entrance.
