To promote a better society, they have developed Scoutpark in Sweden. This app allows users to report substandard parking and rewards them financially for their contribution. By involving community members, the intent is to bring citizens closer to a culture where compliance with laws and regulations is the norm.
The app works like this: simply report an improperly parked car, and if a parking attendant issues a follow-up fee, you receive 100 Swedish kronor (about 8.70 euros) directly through Swish! In fact, once you upload a photo of an improperly parked car, the app notifies you that a parking enforcement officer has arrived.
“Scout Park is a so-called gig economy app that allows anyone over the age of 16 and a Swedish social security number to earn money by helping controllers find people who don’t obey parking rules in the community,” said Erik Englund, CEO of Scout Park.
