Lovers of quality wine: the Rome Wine Expo 2026 is just around the corner. This fifth edition promises to be particularly elegant, as it moves to one of the most iconic locations in the capital. In fact, the Grand Hotel The Westin Excelsior in Via Vittorio Veneto will host the event.
Program and Schedule
The event will be held this weekend,Saturday, February 28, and Sunday, March 1, 2026, and is structured to welcome both industry professionals (10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) and enthusiasts (2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.). With over 60 producers and more than 300 labels available for tasting, this year’s focus is a mix of Italian craftsmanship and international gems.
As far as our country is concerned, there will be a strong emphasis on regional excellence, with a particular focus on wines from South Tyrol (thanks to the Associazione Artigiani del Vino) and Tuscany.
On the international front, this year there is a strong emphasis on Georgia and its famous wines produced in amphorae, as well as the presence of wineries from Slovenia.
Masterclasses not to be missed
If you want to learn more, there are technical seminars (limited number of places, usually at an extra cost):
- Saturday, great reds from South Tyrol (2:00 p.m.) and wines from Georgia (4:30 p.m.)
- Sunday, South Tyrolean whites (2:00 p.m.) and the legend of Tuscan Sangiovese (5:00 p.m.).
