On Saturday, March 15, 2025, the Circus Maximus is preparing to host an extracity event under the banner of wellness with the Fun Run, linked to the famous Run Rome The Marathon. This event is an opportunity to experience the city in an atmosphere of celebration and sports, surrounded by music and solidarity.
Route and How to Participate
The Fun Run includes a route of about 5 km, winding through the streets of the city, offering spectacular views of Rome’s most emblematic places. The start at 10:30 a.m. and the finish are scheduled inside the Circus Maximus, a historic place that is transformed for the occasion into a large stage of fun and aggregation.
Participation is open to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. It costs 15 euros to participate. No competitive medical certificate is required, making the event accessible to anyone who wants to walk or run with friends, family or simply alone. The freedom to choose your own pace is the true spirit of the Fun Run.
Participation in the Fun Run
Registrants will receive a variety of giveaways to celebrate their participation:
- Technical T-shirt: signed by technical partner Joma, made of technical runner’s fabric
- Award medal: a tangible symbol of their commitment and participation
- Gym Bag: containing any products offered by sponsors.
Stracanina: The Six Paws Event.
Parallel to the Fun Run, the Stracanina, an event dedicated to pet owners and their four-legged friends, will also take place. This 5-kilometer run or walk will start from Via dei Cerchi and end at Circus Maximus, offering a unique space for adults, children and dogs of all sizes and breeds. Registration for pooches costs only 4.99 euros and includes a participation bib and a special surprise at the finish line.
Also participating in the Fun Run celebration will be the association “Un Lavoro da Cani,” which specializes in dog training, education and training. Instructors will be present to offer free consultations on dog behavior and the human-dog relationship, with obedience demonstrations.
Solidarity and Charity
The Fun Run is also an opportunity to strengthen ties with solidarity and volunteerism. Thanks to the collaboration with CSV Lazio ETS (Centro di Servizio per il Volontariato), the event promotes charity and fundraising activities for nonprofit organizations. The Charity Program allows associations to collect registrations and keep part of the proceeds to support their activities.
