On Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, from 9 to 10:30 p.m., a show by Vincenzo Schettini, physicist, science popularizer, youtuber and TV host, will be held at the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute of Infectious Diseases in Rome. He is among the most beloved and followed prof. in Italy, enchanting audiences with his experiments.
Among his best-known projects is “The Physics of Love,” in which he explores the principles of physics applied to human relationships and feelings. In 2022 he published the best-selling book “The Physics We Like.” In 2023, the second book “It Takes a Beastly Physicist” was published, which tells stories of famous physicists.

The event, open to all, is dedicated to telling the story of the role of science, researchers and physicians, emphasizing the importance of knowledge especially for the younger generation, and the continuing transformation of the medical profession thanks to new technologies. Science Week 2025

This event kicks off Science Week 2025, a packed house of science initiatives and activities with free admission. It runs from September 20 to 27 and offers lectures, workshops, performances and meetings around the city, involving researchers and popularizers.
Other science events in Rome include the Festival of Science, held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica with hot topics such as physics, astronomy, artificial intelligence and the biological evolution of the human body. It will have to wait until 2026 for the next edition.
The European Researchers’ and Researchers’ Night, on the other hand, will take place on Friday, Sept. 26, offering a program of interactive activities, exhibitions and workshops to raise awareness of scientific research in a stimulating and participatory way, aimed at citizens and students.
These initiatives represent important moments to bring citizens of all ages closer to the world of science and research, promoting scientific culture and innovation in the Roman territory. Activities for younger children are also planned.
