From Oct. 9-12, 2025, the City of the Other Economy in Testaccio will host the Dumpling Park Festival, a free event that blends Asian street food, live music and urban culture.
For four days, the former Slaughterhouse will be transformed into a large taste park, with oriental cuisines, craft breweries and DJ sets until late at night.
What’s happening at Dumpling Park Festival 2025: program, DJ sets and street food
The heart of the festival is oriental cuisine in all its forms: Chinese bao, Japanese gyoza, steamed dumplings and fusion dumplings to be enjoyed at corners curated by cult names such as Akira, Dumpling Bar, Mun, Mani in Pasta, La Botequita and Zen.
There will be no shortage of oriental drinks, 12 bar spots and a 4,000-square-foot biergarten to toast under the Testaccio lights.
And the entertainment will be no less. Here is the official music program:
- Thursday, Oct. 9: 90 Special Manga Cartoon dj set
- Friday, Oct. 10: Friday I’m in Love – Magenta dj set
- Saturday, Oct. 11: Estonia-Italy live, followed by Indie Nostalgia Brianstorm dj set
- Sunday, Oct. 12: line-up being updated
A line-up that combines pop culture, indie music and 90s revival: perfect soundtrack for a tasteful and fun-filled weekend of Rome 2025 events.
Live experience at the festival: between gyoza, music and craft breweries
Those who have already been there know: the Dumpling Park is not just a food event, but a collective celebration.
Every night the City of the Other Economy is transformed into an urban village with outdoor tables, light installations and music stations.
Between a ravioli and a sake cocktail, one moves between food areas and live stages, in a continuous flow of sounds, smells and encounters.
The goal is one: to experience Rome as a capital of taste and contemporary music, European festival style but with the authentic soul of Testaccio.
City of the Other Economy in Testaccio: the festival’s iconic location
The City of the Other Economy, in the heart of the former Testaccio Slaughterhouse, has been one of the capital’s most active cultural hubs for years.
Created as a sustainable redevelopment project, it hosts events, organic markets, exhibitions and festivals that combine entertainment and environmental awareness.
The Dumpling Park Festival perfectly reflects this philosophy: an accessible, sustainable and inclusive event. A place where food becomes culture and music becomes a common language, respecting space and people.
