Dr. Kumpir Doubles in Rome with a flavor journey… One of the tastiest sensations in international street food is expanding to the capital. The eatery, already known for bringing the famous Turkish stuffed potato to Rome, is celebrating the opening of its second location. After the success of the outlet on Via Tiburtina 184, the “taste you don’t expect” lands in the heart of Centocelle, at Via dei Castani 251.

The opening is set for Saturday, November 8, and the activity will take place in the afternoon hours, from 4 to 9 p.m. Kumpir is a giant baked potato whose flesh is mixed with butter and mozzarella cheese, creating an incredibly creamy and stringy base. Dr. Kumpir elevates this classic, turning it into a veritable culinary journey that touches several of the world’s capitals.
Customers can choose from five iconic creations, all offered between 9 and 10 euros. It starts with the Mediterranean flavors of Kumpir Roma (€9), enhanced with grilled eggplant, savoy cabbage, sun-dried tomatoes, green olives and arugula. It continues with the authentic Turkish touch of Kumpir Istanbul (€9.50), with chicken, bulgur, feta, cucumbers and grilled zucchini.
For those who like bold flavors, there’s the Kumpir Mexico (€9.50), a flavor explosion with white beans, avocado and spicy sauce, and the Kumpir Buenos Aires (€10), ideal for meat lovers thanks to the presence of sliced beef and spinach. There is no shortage of Asian elegance in Kumpir Tokyo (10 €), which combines rice, salmon, avocado and sweet peppers.
Finally, those who prefer creative whimsy can opt for the Crea.Gusta.Enjoy (from €7.50), a potato, butter and mozzarella base that can be customized with a choice of four ingredients.
All Kumpirs include free Ketchup and Mayonnaise sauces, with the option of adding additional extras (cold cuts, meat, etc.) for a fee.
