It’s 9 p.m. on Scalea Bruno Zevi, in Valle Giulia. You open your phone and a web app notifies you that at the next table there are three people who, like you, spend their weekends between art exhibitions, padel, and TV shows to trash-talk. It’s not dating: it’s what happens every Wednesday in June at Satyrus.
It’s called WECO and it’s Rome’s answer to a question we all ask ourselves around age 30: where do you go to meet new people in Rome without swiping?
The idea: start with what you like, not with a photo
The setup flips the logic of typical nights out. Here, you don’t sit with your little group and end up talking to the same people you left home with.
During the event, a live web app shows in real time who in the venue shares your interests and which tables are most compatible with your profile. From there, you can switch tables, join games and challenges between groups, or use icebreaker cards so you don’t have to start with the classic “hi, where are you from?”
Around you, the rest of the evening: DJ sets, drinks, and a social experience that works precisely because it takes away the hard part—finding an excuse to talk to each other.
How does it work, in practice?
The evening is designed for those between the ages of 21 and 33 and takes place every Wednesday in June 2026 at Satyrus, the temporary outdoor bar on the Valle Giulia steps, between Flaminio and Parioli, overlooking the greenery of Villa Borghese. Upcoming dates: Wednesday, June 17 and 24.
And the prices are like a weeknight out, not a Parioli VIP club. The after-dinner table costs €10 with a drink included (from 10:00 PM to midnight, but the table is yours for the whole evening).Entry to the dance floor for the DJ set is free with a reservation, starting at 10:30 PM.
If you’re a large group, there’sa reserved sofa area for €20 per person, including a drink, for a minimum of 10 people and for the entire evening.

🚋 By tram: lines 3 and 19, Galleria Arte Moderna stop on Viale delle Belle Arti, practically right in front of the steps.
🚌 By bus: lines 88, 95, 490, 491, and 495 serve the Flaminio/Valle Giulia area.
🚗By car: paid parking is available nearby, but in the Pinciano-Flaminio area, parking spots are hard to come by in the evening—better to take public transit or arrive early.
