There is something new in the beating heart of Roman culture, an event that combines neighborhood rock with the tradition of Italian song. At Pigneto, one of Rome’s most vibrant and coolest areas, Albano Carrisi Hall has opened, and cutting the ribbon, with a gesture full of emotion, was the famous singer-songwriter himself.
Housed in the Techpro Records studios at 61 Giovanni Brancaleone Street, this workshop is dedicated to music education and training, but with a very specific mission: to celebrate the values of Italian tradition. The idea is to create a place dedicated to the growth of young artists, combining technique and passion.
The Albano Carrisi hall in Pigneto
“This place was created to pay tribute not only to his exceptional musical career, but also to the deep human values that Albano Carrisi has transmitted to us during these five years of acquaintance and friendship,” Techpro Records announced.
The artist, one of the most recognizable voices of Italian popular music, has a legendary career that has crossed national borders. Albano Carrisi, originally from Cellino San Marco in Puglia, is an icon who represents Italy around the world thanks to songs such as “Felicità” and “Nel sole.”
This music classroom hosts several training courses-including singing, guitar and piano-and is a hub for student growth. Techpro Records, in addition to being a music school, is also a record label. It also has podcast and Web radio studios.
Pigneto is not just a neighborhood; it is a symbol of Rome. Once known for its working-class nature and low houses (the famous terraced houses), today it is considered one of the nerve centers of Roman nightlife and art. The opening of the Albano Carrisi Hall in such a dynamic and contemporary music-oriented neighborhood creates a fascinating bridge between the different souls of Italian culture.
