Normal, the Danish discount chain specializing in personal care and household products, is opening its fourth store in Rome. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, at 9:30 a.m. at the Gran Roma shopping center, with a grand opening celebration that will run until 8:30 p.m.
The first customers in line will receive gift cards and surprise bags filled with freebies, as well as special vouchers with every purchase. Throughout the day, customers can also enter a contest to win an entire pallet of products.
The Normal model: no sales, always low prices
Normal’s concept stands out for its pricing policy, which features no seasonal discounts or promotions: prices are fixed and competitive year-round. The shelves feature more than 4,000 items, including body, face, and hair care products, cosmetics, perfumes, deodorants, and household cleaning supplies. There’s also plenty of food—snacks, beverages, coffee, spices, protein bars—as well as accessories for the kitchen, school, and pets.
The “maze-like” layout is designed to invite customers on a sort of treasure hunt among well-known brands such as L’Oréal, Colgate, Gillette, Max Factor, Nescafé, and Kinder, as well as new products, some of which are available exclusively here. Every week, 100 new products arrive, so every visit offers something different.
The new store joins the three others already open in Rome (RomaEst, Porta di Roma, and Tiburtino) and an expanding network that includes Milan, Venice, Udine, Genoa, Vicenza, Teramo, and other cities throughout Italy.
