Often, a visit to IKEA to buy furniture turns into the perfect opportunity to enjoy the famous Swedish meatballs. To celebrate this beloved tradition, the Rome stores (Anagnina, Fiumicino, and Porta di Roma) have organized a month of June packed with special culinary initiatives.
The exclusive meatball-flavored “Chupa-Chups” (June 5)
For one day only, Friday, June 5, stores in the capital will host an event born from a creative collaboration with Chupa Chups. By making a purchase at IKEA bars, bistros, or restaurants (including the “Sapori Svedesi” area in Fiumicino), customers will have the opportunity to spin a wheel of fortune. The prize: the color selected on the wheel will indicate which compartment of a KALLAX unit to open. Inside lies a surprise—either a classic strawberry lollipop or the rare and daring limited-edition IKEA meatball-flavored lollipop.
The “All You Can Eat” deal (every Friday in June)
For those who prefer the traditional version of the dish, a special unlimited promotion will be available every Friday of the month. It starts with a main course consisting of 8 meatballs ( choose from the classic meat recipe, the vegetarian version, the fish version, or falafel), served with the typical sides of mashed potatoes, cream sauce, and lingonberry jam. Once the first course is finished, you can request additional portions of 4 or 8 pieces of your choice, continuing until the restaurant closes.
The experience has a fixed price of €15, which drops to €12 for IKEA Family and IKEA Business Network cardholders.
