The Fables of Light represent an enchanted journey into the heart of Gaeta, where the magic of Christmas is intertwined with the city’s art, history and landscapes. During the holidays, illuminations transform Gaeta, a town famous for its crystal clear waters, into a dreamlike place, evoking the familiar atmosphere of childhood Christmases. This event invites visitors and tourists to immerse themselves in paths between reality and fantasy, enhancing the winter charm of the seaside town.
The goal, as Mayor Cristian Leccese says, is to enchant participants with light displays that enhance Gaeta’s historical and artistic treasures, making it a year-round destination. The event includes projections and art installations:
- Via Indipendenza – Sparkling Jellyfish
- Piazza V. Capodanno – Kraken
- Sapienza Square – Queen of the Sea
- Viale Battaglione degli Alpini – Dolphin Portal
- Viale Battaglione degli Alpini – Coral Reef
- Alpine Battalion Avenue – Bright Atlantis
- Largo Bonelli – Otto, the King of the Abyss
- Lovers’ Avenue – Pearls of Light
- Villa Traniello – Seahorses, Marine Oasis, Willy the Turtle
